Police are appealing for witnesses after a cyclist shouted offensive comments at a woman wearing a niqab in Norwich.

The woman was in Orford Place on Friday when a man riding a mountain bike towards her shouted offensive comments about her clothing, before making off in the direction of Pizza Hut between 3.45pm and 4.15pm.

The cyclist is described as being approximately 25 years old with blonde hair.

Anyone who witnessed the incident or has any information should contact PC Michael Pearce at Bethel Street Police Station on 101.
